If you do not have your family to spend your holiday with.

Holidays are supposed to be spent with family. Unfortunately, everyone does not have their family to share it with, Some people do not live in the same state or country as their family. Also, keep in mind that there are people that do not have a good relationship with their family.
. If you do not have any family to spend your day with try spending your holiday with close friends. It does not have to be your real family. Anyone who is willing to welcome you with open arms and allow you to be a part of their day is family.

The only thing you should have in your head is that you are going to find someone you love and care about to share your holidays with.

Do not feel like you are intruding and do not worry about feeling left out. Try to engage with your friends family and enjoy their company.
The last thing you want to do is sit at home and spend the holidays alone. If you spend the day alone you are going to keep thinking about being alone, then you make yourself upset.

Things aren’t the same when you lose a loved one.

Some people may have parents, siblings, grandparents or children that have passed away and may feel like their holiday has not been the same since. The holidays can sometimes remind people of what they are missing from their lives and can cause them to mourn over loved ones that are no longer here. Your loved ones would not want you to be sad during a day that’s suppose to be special. Try to enjoy the company of the people that are here now.

If you lost a loved one during the holiday season.

There are some cases where people have also lost loved ones during the holiday season, which causes them to get depressed and mourn whenever the holiday season occurs. Since death and sadness is associated with holiday season depression and dreading the holidays is as well. Although it may be hard to overcome this feeling of sadness. It is still possible to enjoy your holiday despite those factors.

If the holiday season reminds you of a loved one that passed away.

If you are a person who lost someone that you were very close to during the holiday season, try to enjoy the holidays for them. You can have them here in spirit. Try cooking their favorite meal or playing their favorite holiday song. If any of your loved ones had a tradition that they followed for the holidays, take that tradition on and follow it. Doing this will help you feel a sense of comfort. It will remind you that their soul is still here even if they’re not here physically. If you do this you feel better, it will make you feel like you have not entirely lost them.

If you have financial issues.

Some people get sad around the holiday season because of their financial situation. Single parents, people that are in between jobs, or barely making ends meet. However, do not let that discourage you. There are plenty of places that have food drives and donations for gifts during the holiday season. If you do not have the money finically to support your family for a holiday, do not be afraid to speak up.

You are not alone A lot of people run into this issue.

Even if you do not want to ask for help, you can still make the best out of it. Always remember that quality is always more than quantity. You do not have to have much as long as the time is well spent. If you are able to put together something small, it will still be valuable.

Regardless of what you do you should be thankful.

There are people out there that are homeless that do not get a hot plate or a warm place to rest their Head. Those people Are living day to day to survive and are thankful whatever they can get. If you are not in this situation than you should just be happy with what you have. I’m not saying your feelings are not important, but always remember your situation can be way worse.
